‘There is a story about Lal Shahbaz Qalander, which Sain Sahib once taught me,’ said Lal Peri. ‘One day Lal Shahbaz was wandering in the desrt with his friend Shekh Baha ud-Din Zakariya. It was winter, and evening time, so they began to build fire to keep warm. They found some wood, but then they realized they had no fire. So Baha ud-Din suggested that Lal Shahbaz turn itself into a falcon & get fire from hell. Off he flew, but an hour later he came back empty handed. “There is no fire in hell,” he reported. “Everybody who goes there brings their own fire, and the pain, from this world.

Clearly Heaven & Hell they both are inside oneself, inside our hearts & minds.

Note: Lal Shahbaz Qalander was born near Tabriz in NW Iran and walked to Sindh at the end of 13^th century. He was a Qalander or ‘holy fool’, ‘an unruly friend of God’ who, enraptured the love of the divine, followed a religious path that involved rejecting the material world, the constraints of convention and the strictures of the Shariah. He followed the path of seeking the God on the road and in the Sufi shrines through a regime of self-punishment and celibacy, wile trying to generate a state of religious ecstasy with the aid of music and dance and hallucinogens. It’s still practiced in Pakistani-Sindh and Lal Shahbaz had many disciples. It’s a part Islamic but very much on the verge of extinction as Taliban and Other Islamic Communities are conquering and imposing their strict Islamic religions on the people by force and fear.

Smart Indian MOM ! Please read this true story !!! Mom comes to visit her son Kumar for dinner.....
who lives with a girl room mate Sunita.
During the course of the meal, his mother couldn't help butnotice how pretty Kumar's roommate was.
She had long been suspicious of a relationship between the two,
and this had only made her more curious.
Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact,
she started to wonder if there was more between Kumar and his
roommate than met the eye.Reading his mom's thoughts, Kumar volunteered, 'I know what you must bethinking, but I assure you, Sunita and I are just roommates.'About a week later, Sunita came to Kumar saying, 'Ever since your mothercame to dinner, I've been unable to find the silver plate. You don't suppose
she took it, do you ?'Kumar said ,'Well, I doubt it, but I'll email her, just to be sure.'So he sat down and wrote :
Dear Mother:I'm not saying that you 'did' take the silver plate from my house,
I'm not saying that you 'did not' take the silver plate..
But the fact remains that it has been missing ever since you were
here for dinner.
Love, KumarA few days later, Kumar received an email from his Mother which read Dear Son: I'm not saying that you 'do' sleep with Sunita, and I'm not saying that you 'do not' sleep with Sunita. But the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her OWN bed, she would have found the silver plate by now under the pillow...

Money And Love

The most powerful motives in the human affairs are Money and Love. They have more in common with each other than we like to think. But there is one major difference between them. The first is convertible into other communities and back again. A man may accept smaller amount than he originally intended if there is corresponding increase in something else which he happens to value - such as some gain in personal prestige. But love is not convertible. It cann't b negotiated or or reduced by the decree or threat or bribe. It's an absolute. Nonethless, money and love can, in the real world be convertible. The point of interchange lies within the man who loves. He will, when he has an interest in doing so, place a value on his own life in term of rupees. This is the amount which he percieves himself to be worth. But he will readily give up that same life to save the loved one.Therefore, since he can't pay more than the supreme sacrifice, he has, in effect and unitentionaly, put a value of his love.
There is no horizontal love permeating humanity. Love is arranged vertically from generation to generation, from parents to son or daughter, with small horinzontal extensions from son or daughter to brother or sister and cousins.
This is why I think communisim is failing, because you cannot ask a man to place financial value on his sacrifice for someone he doesn't love.

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old..The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll.'Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?''The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look a round. She left quickly.The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas.She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.'I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.But he replied to me sadly. 'No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.'His eyes were so sad while saying this. 'My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.''My heart nearly stopped.The little boy looked up at me and said: 'I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.'Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me 'I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me.''I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.'Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?'''OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!'Then he looked at me and added, 'I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give It to my sister. He heard me!'''I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.'''My mommy loves white roses.'A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started.I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl.The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.Was this the family of the little boy?Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine.And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

India In Oscars

For the first time in the Indian history, an Indian, A. R. Rehman won TWO Oscars at LA. That's obviously a victory that every Indian will be proud of. He won the award for the music of the song "Jai Ho" in Slumdog Millionaire. Previously this song was composed for the film Yuvraj, but due to some reasons it was not taken and the song was pictured in Slumdog. Ne waz he got the awards in the categories of 'Original Score' n 'Best Original Song'. Penetrating the Oscars cues one more field that India had augmented and proved its Intellectual skills. Hardly u can find a area without Indians or its participations - directly or indirectly. Truely they say, "India is a land of miracles".

Hi. This is all about my observations of life and what I have read in books. A nice way to share my perceptions, and (may be) getting connected to those who can either repel or attract with my thoughts and views. Also some believe it or not kinda facts which fascinates me a lot. Being Indian will obviously share its glory and magnificence that is mesmerizing. Lets see how it gets along.
